Giving an extra ZIP to porch perfect lemonade. If you have time, grate some lemon zest into an ice cube tray, then fill with water for lemony ice cubes!

Giving an extra ZIP to porch perfect lemonade. If you have time, grate some lemon zest into an ice cube tray, then fill with water for lemony ice cubes! Substitutions: You can also use limes and lime juice

Equipment

  • Pitcher
  • Wooden spoon or spatula
  • Cutting board
  • Knife
  • Ice cube tray
  • Veggie peeler

Ingredients

LEMON ZEST SIMPLE SYRUP

  • 4-5 strips/pieces lemon zest- use a veggie peeler
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cups cold water

LEMONADE

  • 3/4 cup lemon juice about 3 lemons or from a bottle
  • 2-3 cup water
  • 2 cups bubbly or 7-up

Instructions

LET'S MAKE THE SIMPLE SYRUP

  • In a medium saucepan on medium heat, add sugar, lemon zest strips, and water. Stir until everything gets dissolved and heated through. Take off the heat and let cool a few minutes

LET'S MAKE THE LEMONADE

  • Pour the simple syrup into an pitcher after we let it cool, then add lots of ice.
  • Add the lemon juice. Add cold water and stir.
  • TOP UP with bubbly/7Up
  • Stir to combine and chill until cold
